The Death of Fidel Schlund (1805-1882)

A life of great political and social influence ended in 1882. Fidel Schlund died on April 2nd, 1882 in Newark, Essex, New Jersey USA. He was 78 years old. Fidel was buried on April 4th, 1882 at Woodland Cemetery in Newark, New Jersey. Unfortunately more than 11,000 graves at Woodland Cemetery have been vandalized or desecrated by being buried over with remains unrelated to the family. Many of the first graves are gone, I am unsure of the status of Fidel's grave.
