Welcome to my family history blog! I look forward to sharing with everyone everything I have learned about my Schlund ancestors through years of research. This blog centers around Fidel Schlund, his children who immigrated from Germany and established their roots in America, and their descendants. Ten of Fidel's children immigrated to America, many had large families of their own and moved all over the United States. A large number of Schlund's are descendants of Fidel. I welcome all new information, corrections, or even emails saying "hey we are cousins". Click on the Contact Me tab above to email me!  F idel Anton Schlund was born February 19th, 1805 in Immenstadt, Schwaben, Bavaria. His parents were Willner Alois Leonarhard Schlund and Katherine Kennerknecht Schlund.  Sketch of Fidel in prison in Kempton.  Fidel married Maria Josepha Marckhart (December 26, 1806- May 27, 1878) on February 6, 1826 in Immenstadt, Schwaben, Bavaria. Josephina’s father’s family was from Bavaria, her mother’s family was from Austria. Fidel and Josephina had 13 children; Maria Anna, Anton, Christian, Peter, Katharina, Alois, Maria Theresia, Joseph, Maria Camilla, EmilyVictoria, Fidel, Max Sr, and Karl.
